The hula hoop can be a dynamic tool for on-body "Hooping" and, the hoop can also be used in the hands similar to a yoga strap, ballet bar and fitness ball. In this basic (foundational), and therapeutic workshop, you will experience the adult size hula hoop as a resistance, balance and movement tool that encourages full body range of motion, feminine tone and grace. This workshop progresses from a structured flow and culminates into free form movement with the hoop as you realize that each posture can be linked into a flowing dance. The HoopYogini™ Spinal Awakening Series is a six posture flow that revolves around Centered Pose (Tadasana inside the hoop!) and from there guides you into a deep mindfulness meditation journey that brings your spine into full range of motion thus releasing tension, anchoring you in the present moment and connecting you with intention, intuition, gratitude and grace.
