Relieve your body from the patterns and strain of sitting in front of a computer or being glued to your phone. This class will focus on the two different types of "tech-neck" and how that shows up in the body. Through a series of neck, shoulder and mid back opening exercises, we will create space and gain greater balance and mobility in the shoulder complex. Focusing on both the deeper muscles and the stabilizers we will explore the subtleties and integrity of the shoulders and core in a movement based practice. This class aims to educate and explore how to best balance out what has become our cultural norm of "slumpasana" by integrating strength, stability and mobility and freeing the inner support of the heart and lungs.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
