"The two most important days in your life are the day you are born

and the day you find out why." ~ Mark Twain

Okinawans call it ikigai, and Nicoyans call it plan de vida, but in both cultures of these Blue Zones, the phrases roughly translate to, "why I wake up in the morning." What's your reason to get out of bed every morning? Studies show that people with a clear goal in life, or something to wake up for every morning, live longer and stay mentally sharper than those who don't. In its simplest form, Ikigai is composed of two words; iki, which refers to life, and kai, which concerns the insight into one's hope and expectations. According to the Japanese, we all have an Ikigai — a reason for being, or a purpose in life. So, there you have it—you too have an Ikigai—and now you need to discover it. Do you know your life's purpose? Do you feel unfulfilled waking up each morning? Are you doing what you love, and earning money while doing it?

Our talk is practical and meant for anyone looking to better their current circumstances, find their life's purpose and learn that living with purpose can even add years to your life. We will be weaving together ancient philosophies with scientific research based in
Positive Psychology—sharing the art and science to how to live a FRESH, meaningful life.
